Role Summary/Purpose
This role supports the Field Radiography Engineering in team in Ahrensburg & Wunstorf executing NPIs and Life Cycle Management tasks in the Engineering area of Computed Radiography, this includes the design, evaluation, testing and support of CR scanners and image plates ranging from Hardware to Software aspects. He/She will be included in the Radiography engineering team.
Essential Responsibilities
· Execution of CR developments and CR NPIs
· Technical support of CR product line
· Develop technical documents and data that will substantiate the value of assigned components and systems regarding significant technical issues, developments and break-troughs
· Ensure all the design is compliant with industry standard and company design control process
· Write technical documents (User or Service Manuals, Assembly or Test Procedures …)
· Create and maintain Material Master and Bill Of Material (SAP)
· Change management in our ERP System (SAP)
· Travel may be required to support customer and other GE sites
· Focus on EHS and Compliance as a first priority, customer and quality
Qualifications/Requirements
· Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics or another appropriate technical field
· Disciplined in design and verification methodologies
· Analytical approach to technical problems, be able to drive technical issues to closure
· A team player, being proactive and creative
· Self-motivated, being able to work in a dynamic environment and handle pressure from project schedule and technical challenge
· Customer focused
· Basic understanding of ERP systems (SAP)
· Good communication skills in German and English both oral and written
Desired Characteristics
· SAP familiarity, especially with material master, BOM and Engineering Changes
· Knowledge of industrial radiography, image acquisition, CR and digital X-Ray detectors
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
· Standards development and changes for CR and DR
· Lifetime validation studies
· Good communications skills
· Global teaming experience
· Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives
