Role Summary/Purpose

Sets up, operates, edits, and programs a variety of computerized machines, such as Furnaces, Lasers, Robots, Coherent General (8-Axis), Presses and/or Benders to customers’ specifications and drawing requirements. Modifies existing program parameters on machines to produce error-free products. Tests new tooling and/or dies and makes recommendations for modifications. Assures internal calibration, outside calibration services, and internal reports are performed accurately.
Essential Responsibilities

Sets up, operates, edits, and programs a variety of computerized machines, such as Furnaces, Lasers, Robots, Coherent General (8-Axis), Presses and/or
Benders to customers’ specifications and drawing requirements.
• Modifies existing program parameters on machines to produce error-free products.
• Tests new tooling and/or dies and makes recommendations for modifications.
• Assures internal calibration, outside calibration services, and internal reports are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Performs regular preventative maintenance.
• Operates machine(s) in a prescribed safe manner.
• Will train and work with all areas of the Cell to run other processes as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma / GED
Six months operating machine experience or as a Cell Specialist.
• Education or experience in programming and operations in programmable controllers
• Able to use standards shop measuring devices (calipers and micrometers)
• Able to read and interpret blueprints
• Able to successfully pass vision test (CVP personnel only).
• Able to exert 10 pounds of force frequently. May occasionally exert 20 to 50 pounds of force (with assistance, if needed).
