Role Summary/Purpose

The EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Service Coordinator will provide leadership and direction in all EHS issues on the wind farm for Services activities. In this position you will be a key member in the preparation and the realization of the Service works (corrective, preventive and retrofit) by applying and controlling the Customer’, Local’ and GE’ EHS requirements.
MERKUR Offshore WindFarm is a brand new windfarm with 66 HAL150 6MW turbines which will be fully servicing early 2019
Essential Responsibilities

·  Cultivate an exceptional EHS culture in the wind farm
·  Drive constantly PAC and Safer cases opened to lead to a Safe Workable Environment 
·  Apply the Marine Coordination requirements 
·  Be the first point of contact of authorities in case of Accident, Damage, Pollution,… 
·  Perform regular emergency drill exercises on the vessels (CTV, SOV) 
·  Write in coordination with the operations teams the Methods Statement and Risk Assessments

·  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or related EHS field; alternatively professional qualification/apprenticeship with significant experience in EHS 
·  Demonstrated professional experience and deep domain expertise in Environment, Health & Safety  
·  Fluent English and German language skills; additional European language is a plus 
·  Experience in Offshore Wind Industry in required 
·  During the first 6 months, the position will be located in the Service Operations Vessel (SOV) with Offshore Conditions (14/14). After the first 6 months, the position will be located Salzbergen or in Hamburg with regular transfer on short period on SOV 
·  Ability to be located Offshore

·  Relevant Germany specific formal EHS qualification(s) for example "Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit" 
·  Knowledge and experience with Germany specific EHS requirements 
·  Working knowledge of Wind Turbine Mechanical and Electrical Systems 
·  Strong interpersonal and influencing skills 
·  Excellent oral and written communication skills 
·  Initiative and a global mindset 
·  Excellent computer skills for use of digital tools
