Role Summary/Purpose

The Build & Release Engineer will be responsible for the automation of infrastructure component, cloud operations, CI/CD tool setup and maintenance. This role will also be responsible for the operational aspects and health of shared micro services, platform integration, cloud services, applications delivery, monitoring, and support. The individual needs to be skilled in innovating, developing, and maintaining build and configuration management.
Essential Responsibilities

In this role, you will
Be responsible for setting up the CI/CD infrastructure and deployment pipeline for multiple applications
Be able to work independently, and contribute to multiple concurrent projects/project teams
Becoming skilled with various configuration management, build management and continuous integration tools and methodologies.
Understands the importance of Build and Release as part of development life cycle and with reference to continuous integration process
Fully understands the importance of different software environments like Development, QA and Production.
Have hands-on experience with build tools like Maven/Gradle/Ant etc.
Mastery over Git version control tool.
Have hands-on experience setting up Jenkins, containerization using Docker
Have hands-on experience with AWS Code* tools and AWS services like ECS,EKS
Have hands-on experience with setting up New Relic, ELK stack, Kubernetes
Skilled in application domain and functional areas.
Expertise in writing automation scripts for build and release processes.
Becoming skilled with SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the industry, managing build and release activities for one or more applications / project teams
• AWS SysOps Administrator certification is a plus
Desired Characteristics

Excellent problem solving skills & ownership of the assignments
Strong organisational and communication skills, team player
Experience with any of these tools: Google Analytics, Portainer, Traefik, DockerCompose, Docker Swarm, is a big plus
