Role Summary/Purpose
This role will support the Aviation Services Commercial Accounting Center of Excellence. This organization performs monthly and quarterly closing activities related to Aviation CSA contracts, engine spare part sales, repair, and overhaul support. This role will provide oversight over the global repairs rebate program.
Essential Responsibilities
· Perform operational accounting oversight for Aviation Repairs Rebate program.
· Develop and document an SOP to transact global repairs rebate program.
· Oversee closure of Schedule II associated with global repairs rebate program.
· Partner with Commercial & Ops teams to align procedures & processes with timely rebate settlement.
· Develop a long term solution including roles, responsibilities, and timing to effectively manage global repairs rebate program.
· Identify simplification and/or automated solutions.
· Assess simplification / automation opportunities to streamline consolidation of data from multiple sites & ERPs.
· Manage onshore and offshore Genpact support.
· Provide accounting support to the Aviation Services Repairs organization.
· Provide accounting support to Spare Parts organization within the commercial liabilities and discount programs.
· Prepare and review account reconciliations.
· Prepare periodic balance sheet analysis.
· Engage with internal and external auditors.
· Provide accounting enterprise resource planning (ERP) technical accounting.
· Participate and take leadership role in finance projects.
· Assist with Controllership projects and initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related area (or a high school graduate/GED or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant work experience)
Minimum 3 years prior professional work experience in Accounting Operations or Finance
