Role Summary/Purpose

The Assembly Tech IV will perform assembly and test operations on moderate to complex sub-assemblies and final assemblies following engineering drawings, parts specifications, assembly procedures and/or verbal instructions. Perform hydro and nitrogen gas pressure testing and functional testing of products.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Assembly Technician IV, you will:

·  Utilize fitting, adjustment, securing maneuvers from drawings, engineering standards, shop orders, and or verbal instructions

·  Supply technical information and assistance to others as needed. Interact with other departments

·  Be responsible for the maintenance and repair of other equipment or systems as may be assigned by management

·  Read drawings and engineering specifications to perform assembly and factory acceptance test tasks on products

·  Properly stamp or tag all parts per engineering documents

·  Operate and maintain appropriate machines

·  Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and other material handling equipment as needed

·  May be required to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary to meet its business needs

·  Inspect own work and document outcome of functional tests

·  If failure of test occur, identify defect and generate documentation as required

·  Work in partnership with other personnel to eliminate causes of quality problems

·  Properly fill test reports, data sheets, test charts, etc., per specification

·  Develop and maintain files and data

·  Coat / Paint product to specifications as required

·  Perform necessary inspection and sign off all required documentation

·  Perform visual inspection and functional testing

·  Inspect own work for integrity and quality

·  Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations and maintain good housekeeping in assigned work areas

·  Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities

·  Perform all duties as assigned by management
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High school diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution

·  Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical test, assembly and / or heavy equipment repair and maintenance

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

·  Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

·  Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

·  Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

·  Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time

·  possess a valid driver’s license

·  obtain a forklift operator license and overhead crane operator license

·  interpret prints / drawings and specifications and complete assembly tasks as well as safety and quality documentation

·  operate pneumatic and hydraulic torque tools
Desired Characteristics

·  At least 2 years experience in manufacturing operation applications or minimum 4 years total relevant operation

·  Strong knowledge of existing offshore drilling and production rental tools

·  Team player

·  Ability to work un-directed per engineering specifications and inspect own work for integrity and quality

·  Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and repair of equipment

·  Ability to setup and run test operations on basic and moderately complex sub-assemblies and final assemblies following engineering drawings, parts specifications, assembly procedures and/or verbal instructions

·  Ability to perform hydro and nitrogen gas pressure testing and functional testing of product
