Role Summary/Purpose

We are looking for a strong and competentApplication Operations Engineerto join our talented LS Commercial & Digital DevOps Team to provide technical support to theHybrispiece of our eCommerce platforms. The individual needs to have a solid Java and Linux background combined with great communication and organization skills.
Essential Responsibilities

As an Application Operations Engineer you’ll be responsible for working closely with our internal functional and development teams, QAs and wider delivery teams. Essential responsibilities include: 

• Providing technical support for our LS Hybris platforms 
• Effective troubleshooting of complex issues and providing solutions for them 
• Overlooking LS Hybris infrastructure and interfaces 
• Monitoring, preventing and troubleshooting security related issues 
• Ensuring proper monitoring is in place for all environments 
• Continuous enhancement of software development infrastructure: continuous integration and delivery, cloud services etc. 
• Software release processes support

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical / IT field, or similar related industry experience
• 2+ years of experience as an operations/Java engineer 
• Previous experience with: Java, Linux OS, Tomcat, Web Services (Rest, SOAP), cloud infrastructure 

• Strong sense of ownership and flexibility 
• Proactive and transparent approach to work 
• Strong team player with “can do” attitude to challenges 
• Will and ability to learn new things quickly 
• Very good command of English – spoken and written
Desired Characteristics

• Previous Hybris experience 
• Previous experience with Spring, Git, Java EE, JPA, JAXB, JSP, Rally 
• ITIL principles knowledge
