Role Summary/Purpose

Responsible for analytics engineering related to Distributed Management Systems - integration, DB, tuning, testing, implementation FAT/SAT
Essential Responsibilities

• Has the ability to take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary. 

• Demonstrate the ability to help team members through. 
• Demonstrates awareness about product positioning and differentiations. 
• Has the ability to evaluate basic technology choices and articulate tradeoffs. 

• Applies principles of Agile methodologies to deliver high quality, secured, and scalable systems. 
• Skilled in energy engineering and able to apply standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project. 

• Skilled in core data structures and algorithms and implements them using language of choice

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Power Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent
·  Professional experience in Power Systems. 
·  Good understanding of power systems phenomena and related models. (DMS). 
·  Knowledge of real-time systems. 
·  Experience with SCADA. 
·  Programming skills C++. 
·  Knowledge and experience with development under Windows OS and UNIX OS. 
·  Knowledge and experience with development under Windows OS. 
·  Experience with software systems testing. 
·  MOBILITY - Able to travel in different countries more than 50% of time 
·  Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
Desired Characteristics

·  Expertise in Energy Management Systems. 
·  Knowledge of other programming/scripting languages is a plus - C#, JAVA, Python, Perl etc. 
·  Knowledge of JIRA (and similar). 
·  Best practices in control system engineering, design documentation.
·  Other languages are a plus.
