The ATO Sourcing Manufacturing Engineer will support procurement for out of production spares requirements. This job function will lead identification, on-boarding and development of suppliers into the GE production space. You will lead contractual fulfillment of dedicated suppliers and achieve the best conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities

As the ATO Sourcing Manufacturing Engineer / Technologist, you will:

·  Provide a technical and manufacturing expertise around coordinating delivery, milestones and solving technical problems between engineering and suppliers

·  Identify, on-board and develop new suppliers to support GE production needs

·  Work with suppliers and customers on site and remotely to troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes for support of delivery

·  Review engineering drawings / concepts to determine what manufacturing processes and which suppliers have capability to produce the part

·  Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier

·  Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

·  Work on cross-functional teams to deliver products and communicate effectively with business leadership at SPB and EB levels

·  Actively participate in supplier performance reviews

·  Collaborate with production sourcing and engineering teams to optimize transition of hardware from ATO to production environment

·  Manage engineering teams, manufacturing programs and suppliers to effectively deliver to customer need date

·  Perform on-site supplier assessments

·  Manage any delivery related issues including receiving, quality, payment, internal shipment needs

·  Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects

·  Provide technical / commercial assistance to Commodity Buyers to develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge

·  Advise Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures within own field

·  Contribute to project as a team member or leads small projects

·  Develop part cost estimates from engineering blueprints and solid model definition

·  Purchasing activities
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Sourcing

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing traditional machining process (turning, milling, grinding)

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering position

·  Strong technical aptitude including applicable engineering tools and systems

·  Knowledge of sourcing applications and policies

·  Strong oral and written communication skills

·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

·  Ability to influence others and lead small teams

·  Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

·  Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

·  Effective problem identification and solution skills

·  Proven analytical and organizational ability
