Role Summary/Purpose

As part of a cross-functional team within Military Propulsion and Power Engineering, the Advanced Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems. Ability to develop and execute objectives for self and others. The role of Advanced Lead Engineer has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities

In addition, as the Advanced Lead Engineer, you will:

·  Execute the design, analysis, or test of assigned moderate complexity components, or module level systems using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements

·  Provide technical guidance that influences outcomes to other people supporting moderate complexity projects and/or tasks

·  Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

·  Develop action plans, with guidance, to respond to issues / problems

·  Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues

·  Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements

·  Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews with internal and external customers
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college

·  A minimum of 3 years of experience in Engineering position

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

·  Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
