In this mission you will start with a 6 months training program (classroom and on the job) as a part of your international mission at one of our best plants to let you learn from the best. Next 12 / 18 months you will be practicing in a selected plant (in Mexico, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Italy or Brazil) while being coached by a designated Mentor. As a FES&P (Faurecia Excellence System & Productivity) Plant Engineer your contribution will be a key to plant performance.
The role can be summarized in three parts:
1) At Plant level, provide FES expertise (HSE, Quality, EE, PC&L and Production system) based on 11 lean manufacturing principles to contribute to achieve operational business targets
Follow up of the FES deployment plan, to support the Plant Improvement Plan (PIP) execution.
Provide, according to the needs, FES knowledge and skills to the plant team through training, coaching and education.
Participle to FES Principles in Programs from design stage (lean process design, MIFD, validation of Equipment design, cardboard workshop activities, Standardized Work , OHP, process layout, packaging, etc.)
2) Contribute to the Plant MOD cost budget construction & achievement, through efficient “MOD cost management” & “MOD cost improvement plan”.
MOD Cost Management at Plant level:
Ensure efficient application of data management methodology for direct standard and actual Labour cost accuracy.
MOD cost improvement:
Support the implementation of FES improvement tools for production reliability and ensure identification of MOD “Productivity Potential”.
Contribute to the lead time reduction though the implementation of continuous flow, layout optimization, pull-system and speed up flows works.
3) Support FES network Animation in the plant
Contribute to deploy FES culture at Supervisors & GAP Leader level. Also, propose and promote best practices within the Plant (FES Network)
Skills and competencies required
Network animation, coaching and influencing/persuasion skills
Problem Diagnosis and analytic skills to understand contexts
Ability to train and coach with a continuous improvement mind set
Fluent English language knowledge: written and spoken
