Our Faurecia Clean Moblity Business Group – Europe Division is looking for a VIE Commodity Buyer m/f for its Headquarter in Augsburg – Germany.

The role of a Commodity Buyer is to contribute to structuring the supplier panel for his/her commodity/ies and ensure the overall cost productivity of the panel. Main missions of the role are to participate to
Deployment of the strategy for the specific commodity in coordination with Business Group and Group objectives and ensure the use of the supplier Panel by Program Buyers & Series Buyers to be in line with Panel strategy & BLC
Structure the panel to achieve the best landed cost (BLC): participate in the definition and the implementation of the purchasing panel policy for assigned commodity, manage supplier selection according to Group criteria and according to BLC
Panel management: monitor & carry out regular follow-up supplier performance (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Financials, Legal aspects) in relation with other departments (Supplier Quality, Legal, Finance, PC&L) and implement a Panel optimization (normally reduction) plan in line with Country & Business Group targets and manage the overall suppliers productivity and achieve budgeted savings in partnership with Series Buyers
Coordinate/perform monthly price updates for the respective commodity
- ensure the implementation and follow up on any deviation
Develop and implement tools to improve global productivity e.g. cost models, LTAs (Long Term Agreements), Nomination Letters
Negotiate and implement general agreements with suppliers e.g. MoU and Partnership agreements
Master the regular reporting of his/her activities following defined policies
Actively support VAVE activities (technical cost savings) and internal productivity actions in targeted areas (optimize transport, scrap reduction, in/outsourcing activities)
The length of the VIE is 18 months.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
Master's degree in business/engineering, specialization in international purchasing a plus
Results orientation with strong written and oral communications skills
Mature, autonomous, able to work in a matrix organization
International mindset, previous overseas experience required
Bi/multi-lingual (English mandatory) German is a plus
