JOBSUMMARY:

The overall purpose of the Portfolio PMO Analyst role isto provide portfolio management disciplines to the Enterprise Technologyfunctional portfolio to ensure common portfolio processes are aligned to,finance and delivery status is maintained, and assistance/consult is providedto external portfolio stakeholders and customers.  The primary disciplines include:  governance and reporting, demandmanagement, planning management, finance management, quality management,change control management, customer relationship management, andcommunications.  Scope of role isspecific to the EMEIA, APAC/JP, and GDS areas within the global OfficeProjects portfolio.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

The portfolio analyst has the ability to take ownershipand drive the above disciplines with limited direction required and has deepknowledge and skills within the portfolio lifecycles.  Key responsibilities areas include, but notlimited to:

·  Portfoliopipeline management, annually as well as throughout the FY
·  Portfoliofinance management which includes/requires a strong understating andknowledge of EY financial system, processes and tools (e.g. Mercury,ECR, Source-to-pay, etc.)
·  Directrelationship and teaming with finance teams (xx) to facilitatemanagement of portfolio finance as well as owning communication of suchto the OP area leaders and PMs
·  Ownershipof reporting and processes, data dashboards to reflect transparency incommunicating the state of the portfolio; direct relationship/teamingwith reporting teams in order to accomplish this
·  Officeproject process development, maintenance and enhancements
·  Developing,leading, implementing efficiency programs and initiatives to supportagile delivery by the area project managers and improve day-to-dayprocesses
·  Directrelationship and teaming with ARM country leaders, real estate, countryleadership
·  Personwill have the ability to direct and provide direction to projectmanagement staff in a matrix environment;
·  Abilityto build and maintain effective ongoing communications and relationshipsbetween the project team and sponsoring organizations (ARM, Countryleadership) where necessary.

  

 

 

 

ANALYTICAL/DECISION MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Advanced understanding of portfolio management concepts, finance, relationship management and process development/improvement
·  Monitor overall portfolio execution to ensure activities are occurring as planned - scope, budget and schedule and raised/communicated/managed as needed
·  Assisting with Business case development & justification; Facilitating the Benefits Plan; Measuring/tracking benefit return within the lifecycle of the program.

  
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

·  Experience in end-to-end financial management – plan, forecast, actual – function, portfolio and program/project levels
·  End to end understanding of IT life cycle (pipeline, resource, demand, project delivery, financial)
·  Experience working in a global IT environment
·  Fosters collaborative ways of working with wider teams whilst challenging status quo.
·  Experience with productivity tools (MS Office, Teams, Powerbase or other data visualization tools)

  

SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Must be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with peers and leaders
·  Strong leadership skills, facilitation, mentoring and performance management skills
·  May supervise one or more other analysts within team or via matrixed reporting
·  Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance on supervisors and peers
·  Support staff members directly or indirectly in their roles

  

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

·  Overtime may be required as per country overtime policy
·  A valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel internationally

  
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE:

·  Approximately 5-10 years’ experience in a medium to large corporate environment performing portfolio management, business/finance analysis, business development and/or project/systems/PMO management
·  Experience leading and, managing people is a plus
·  Ability to quickly gain in-depth knowledge of the organizational structure of the firm and relevant IT processes
·  5 to 10 years in a corporate IT environment
·  5 or more years’ experience in PMO or program/project management on projects up to $5M
·  3 to 5 years working in projects/portfolios within geographically dispersed teams
·  Financial management experience and working understanding of BAC, ETC, and EAC
·  Ability to quickly gain in-depth knowledge of the organizational structure of the firm and relevant IT processes
·  Work experience in a professional services industry, preferred
·  Other relevant experience in a related technical field (application development, deployment/implementation and infrastructure)

  

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

·  A relevant portfolio/program/project management qualification preferred (e.g. PfMP, Prince Practitioner, PMP) would be preferred
·  Familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3 would be advantageous
