The opportunity

 

 As a member of the Facilitation team at EY Wavespace (EY’s innovation center), you will have the opportunity to work with global clients to understand and address some of their largest and most complex performance challenges, and ultimately improve and drive sustainable business results. We enable organizations to identify and address their most critical issues, ranging from strategic direction and alignment, digital disruption and organizations responses to the pace of change whether technological, political or societal in nature. Whilst the nature of our work focuses on the design and facilitation of collaborative events, the competencies required is a diverse and challenging blend of logical problem solving, Innovative thinking, political astuteness. Exemplar communication skills, psychology, an open and inquisitive mind and a fundamental desire to enable the capabilities of others to reach resolutions. In terms of skills facilitation is grounded in a number of methodologies of which Design thinking is core but equally critical are project and program management, change management and a depth of understanding across the entire consulting value chain. While not critical across all sectors a current and relevant level of experience and knowledge of client and industry issues is crucial.

 

It is anticipated that facilitators will need to engage and in over unfamiliar groups who are operating under high pressure and create the environment and framework that empowers them to rapidly understand challenges, identify options for potential resolution and to steer them towards an appropriate set of action oriented outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

 

We are looking for Innovation and Experience Designers who will be responsible for advising our clients to reshape and transform their businesses through digital in order to deepen customer relationships and improve overall business performance. While the individual assignments will vary depending on client needs, you should expect to be responsible for a wide range of strategic activities which will likely include:

·  Engage directly with client stakeholders and executives to help define their digital vision, strategy, and roadmap, with supporting business case.
·  Analyze existing platforms, tools, and processes in the client’s digital ecosystem, and recommend innovative, implementable solutions as appropriate based on business and customer needs.
·  Plan and facilitate client workshops around digital vision, innovation, and design.
·  Assess client operating models, identifying gaps, and making recommendations for future improvement.
·  Define strategy and design for customer experience, working closely with user experience (UX) design team members to devise strategic solutions based on stakeholder interviews, research analysis, persona creation, user needs, journey maps, and business requirements definition.
·  Generate new business opportunities. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs

You will collaborate with other team members and stakeholders, including extensive engagement with user experience (UX) design team members. You must be willing to take smart risks and champion new ideas.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

·  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Human Computer Interaction, Interactive Media, Interaction Design, Human Factors, Cognition Psychology, Cognitive Science, Communications, Informatics and Design or a related field. 
·  A minimum of two years of post-Bachelor’s work experience related to digital strategy, transformation and/or customer experience design (preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated ability working in an agile environment in a complex digital organization with a focus on digital strategy, transformation, and operating model design)
·  A solid understanding of the industry including technology, challenges, leading practices, and trends (e.g. chat bots, internet of things)
·  The ability to help lead workshops with clients to understand needs, articulate vision, and help design strategies and experiences that meet their vision and needs
·  A solid grasp of UX and user centered design best practices (e.g. design thinking, mobile-first, responsive design) and proven ability to collaborate with UX design teams on strategic solutions
·  A passion for digital strategy and innovation, including research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

·  MBA degree preferred.
