Join our Finance team and you will help enable EY client account teams and management to run the business effectively.  You’ll help to improve engagement profitability, manage enterprise wide risk and support market development activities.  You will support EY planning, reporting and forecasting and analysis, or help EY people manage day-to-day activities, such as managing engagements, process and auditing time and expense or invoice processing.  You’ll also work with other parts of our organization, sharing your financial experience and insights to achieve specific goals. The opportunity

The finance associate will provide support for the Bermuda finance team and work directly with the financial controller and assistant financial controller to coordinate and manage all aspects of the accounts payable process for the Bermuda office while driving operational efficiencies and improvements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting the financial controller with the organization’s compliance with regards to financial, accounting, and other related regulatory requirements in Bermuda and assist with other ad hoc finance projects.

 

Your key responsibilities

·  Code and process invoices for payment, process various weekly and monthly pay-cycles, coordinate vendor statements reconciliation, and manage the employee’s expense reimbursement and corporate card processes
·  Assist the financial controller and the assistant financial controller in the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
·  Communicate and assist in managing relationships with both internal and external clients and vendors
·  Participate and assist in current and upcoming finance projects

·  Superior interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels within the firm
·  Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple projects
·  Energetic self-starter and strong team player

 

To qualify for the role you must have

·  An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field, or equivalent work experience
·  A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in a finance/accounting role; experience within a professional services, financial services or corporate environment preferred
·  Proficiency in the use of standardized software applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
·  Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
·  Strong attention to detail, as well as a commitment to quality and efficiency

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

·  The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and the capacity to work a flexible schedule, as some overtime will be required during peak periods
·  Integrity within a professional environment
