Are you Bahraini Female and want to represent your nation on a Global platform? If you answered yes then the EY Corporate Finance Woman of the Year Competition is for you.

 

The EY Corporate Finance Woman of the Year competition recognizes talented young women with the potential to have a fulfilling career in EY Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) .

EY TAS helps companies drive inclusive growth by focusing on their capital and transaction strategy through to execution. In an environment of unprecedented disruption, we support the flow of capital across borders, help bring new products and innovation to market, and enable organizations to reshape themselves for a better future.

 

To do this, it’s vital that we build diverse and purpose-driven teams. We’re looking for women from varying backgrounds with the right mindset to help EY clients navigate complexity and build a better working world.

If you want the opportunity to be part of something with purpose, make an impact and share your ideas, enter our EY Corporate Finance Woman of the Year competition.

 

The first phase of the competition takes place at a country level. We will challenge your ability to think critically and to come up with creative solutions for complex problems. You will undertake both group and individual challenges, to give you the opportunity to demonstrate how you can contribute to a high-performing team.

 

Country winners will be flown to Rome to represent their country at the global final in February 2020. Finalists will work together to solve problems for a real client, culminating in an evening of celebration where we will announce the 2020 EY Corporate Finance Woman of the Year.

 

The global winner will embark on an all-expenses-paid once-in-a-lifetime EY internship. The month-long experience will take them across the globe to work with EY TAS teams in multiple

locations as they help clients build a better working world.

The competition is split into four stages. Throughout, we will be looking for evidence of a well-articulated career purpose and analytical strength — as well as the practical skills that will distinguish you in the competition.

 

Stage 1: Application

Eligibility criteria:
• Female Bahraini national
• Undergraduate degree: completed in 2019 or graduating before December 2020
• Postgraduate Programs/Master’s Degree: completed in 2019 or graduating before December 2020 with no relevant work experience for more than 6 months.
Students who started their master’s directly after completing their bachelor’s degree.
• Degrees: Accounting, Finance, Banking and Finance, Economics, Political Science, or any degree with a minor in Accounting/Finance/Economics
• Willingness to travel to Rome, Italy to attend the Global Competition from 9–11 February 2020 (EY will cover travel expenses for the winner)
Chaperone from EY MENA will be accompanying the winner

Stage 2: Explore TAS (virtual call)


After reviewing your application, an EY Campus Recruitment Consultant will reach out to you and invite you to attend a virtual meeting to get the opportunity to experience:

Stage 3: Bahrain country competition

Finalists will be invited to attend the national competition (one day event in December 2020) taking place in Bahrain where you will participate in individual and group activities. The country winner, second and third place winners will receive an internship opportunity in their local EY office. The country finalist wins a place in the global final.
EY and your university will support you to ensure you are prepared for the Bahrain Country Competition.

Stage 4: Global final competition

Taking place in Rome, Italy in February 2020 (9 – 11 February 2020), successful country finalists will work closely with people from around the world. You will be challenged with individual and group activities in front of our highly esteemed judges. At the global final, finalists will attend an awards ceremony where the overall Corporate Finance Woman of the Year winner will be announced.
