We are looking for a junior Java Developer to join our Finance development team for Revenue Manager in Frankfurt. As a member of our development team you are part of in the entire development cycle starting from breaking down of requirements on BSUC level to delivering product increments like user stories to our test teams and to customer projects. You are responsible for the design, implementation, test automation as well as for trouble shooting, maintenance, and code re-factoring.

We are searching for an innovative clean coder curious to explore new technologies and frameworks and to experiment how to make use of them in our products. You will build state of the art components by following up on latest technology updates and considering them during the design and implementation phase. Good Java skills, a positive attitude, inspiring curiosity, and good team player behavior is the base for your daily work.

Responsibilities:

·  Break down of requirements from BSUC level to user stories and further down to meaningful engineering tasks
·  Design, implementation, and verification of user stories
·  Know standard design patterns and how to apply them
·  Perform trouble shooting, remote debugging, and regular maintenance of our code
·  Ability to travel for short periods (<= 3 months) to support customer and internal integration teams onsite.
·  Pro-active contribution to innovations, re-factorings, and clean coding activities
·  Proactively follow-up on market trends and propose new concepts/frameworks during design and implementation phase

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

·  Education: M.SC. in computer science. First experience in software development or and passion for software development is a must
·  Advanced programming skills in Java 8, Python and Scala are a plus.
·  Basic knowledge in frameworks used like AKKA, Ruby on Rails
·  Good knowledge in development environment tools like GIT, Gerrit, Maven and Docker
·  English fluent in written and spoken
·  Team player, quick learner, quality oriented, positive attitude, and passion to win
·  Open minded and interest in learning new things and known as a quick learner
·  “Can do” attitude, result driven and unconventional thinker, having an innovative mindset and inspire others
·  You have a valid work permit to work in Germany
