To beef up our team we are hiring a Release Engineer/Technical QA (f/m)

We are one of the most-visited sites in Germany and still are growing at an amazing speed. Currently, we have about 20 million active ads and more than 15 million monthly unique users - more than half on mobile devices. Our tech-stack (Java, Scala, Spring, jQuery, React, CSS, HTML, MySQL, Riak, Cassandra, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Hadoop, Solr, MongoDB, etc.) serves tens of thousands request every second. We use Kanban for development and have up to 7 releases a day, thanks to our fully automated continuous delivery pipeline.

Tasks and Responsibilities

·  Improve our build and test ecosystem to make us deliver even faster
·  Ensure high quality in our applications
·  Establish the right tools to strengthen DevOps cooperation
• Be involved in the whole development lifecycle from architecture to QA, deployment and operations

• Be an interface between Product Management, Design, Business and Customer

• Drive your own ideas for code and process improvement and achieve the next level together with the team

Requirements

·  Good programming skills in Java and common scripting languages
·  Get up to speed with new systems and concepts easily
·  Believer in team work and a DevOps mindset
·  Wide experience with Continuous Delivery, Jenkins-based build pipelines, Git and Maven
• Good knowledge in test automation (JUnit/TestNG, Selenium, REST-assured) and experience with manual/explorative testing

• Basic knowledge of RDBMS and/or NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, Riak, MySQL, Cassandra)

• Curiosity to learn new technologies

• Constant drive to improve
