Job description

As a member of the Watson Financial Solutions API Accelerated Value Program Team, you will be responsible to work closely with our clients to troubleshoot and develop new solutions using Watson Financial Product Portfolio, with focus on Financial Crimes for Insurance.

As a qualified candidate, you must be able to:

• Research the logging/messaging capability of log sources and determine the best methods to troubleshoot implementations with API capabilities.

• Adapt fast to client requirements and develop accurate, quality solutions.

• Work well with clients, know how to set expectations, develop strong trusted relationships with IBM customers.

• Work well independently and within a team; especially cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Extensive experience developing commercial software using Java and JavaScript/DOJO
·  Experience with REST interface
·  Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Industry hands on knowledge of Java technologies (e.g. J2EE, JMS, JDBC, JNI, Message Driven Beans), Web Services, SQL (especially DB2 SQL), Linux scripting, WebSphere Liberty, and WebSphere MQ
·  Experience with Windows/UNIX/Linux operating systems
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Exceptional problem-solving expertise and attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Self-driven quick learner with attention to detail and quality
·  Strong team player

·  Experience XML, XML Schema and DTD, APIs for manipulating XML
·  Development experience with BigData
·  Scripting experience using a dynamic language such as Perl and/or Python (additional scripting language knowledge a plus)
·  Experience with CVS, GitHub, Rational Team Concert, and/or Subversion
·  Familiarity with Rational Application Developer or Eclipse
·  Solid understanding of development cycles
·  Knowledge of security best practices and methodologies
·  Experience in security log analysis, application log analysis, and general log management best practices
·  Knowledge of log transport protocols
·  Work experience in the Insurance industry is preferred
