Your tasks

Our Trend Research unit is part of the overall Innovation Center program at DHL. Here you will be responsible for leading innovative robotics projects through a structured value chain and will eventually be managing a project portfolio of global trend research initiatives. This will require sound project and stakeholder management skills in order to gather input from internal and external stakeholders to conduct research and analysis on potential applications of robotics in the logistics industry and identify opportunities for co-innovation with our customers and business divisions. In this role, you will drive the co-development of solution prototypes and set-up and execute proof-of-concepts as well as developing and executing communication plan to share results of pilot internally and externally and establish a process to continuously monitor the trends. In addition, you will be supporting the wider DHL Innovation agenda through preparing and facilitating trend workshops and presenting Trend Research activities during customer tours at the DHL Innovation Center as well as at customer meetings and external conferences.

Your profile

·  Inspired, open-minded and outgoing in character with a passion for innovation and new technologies
·  Excellent master's degree in engineering, logistics or a technology field, with 1-3 years of professional experience in a related field
·  Business fluent in written and spoken English; German would be an advantage
·  Excellent project management and interpersonal skills with high self-motivation and ability to work independently in an analytical and structured manner
·  Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a simple way and encourage people to adopt new ideas
·  Ability to assess business cases and business processes with a talent for identifying innovation opportunities
·  International exposure and intercultural approach; willingness to travel
