As Global Operations IT Product Manager you will be responsible for supporting our Global Operations IT Products and Services with key focuses on Global Dashboards (Microsoft Power BI & Azure Cloud ) and LOGICS ( Intelex ).

Global Dashboards support DSC Management teams with information from finance, operations, key functions & programs to support divisional decision making. Dashboards are developed using Microsoft Power BI using data from our Divisional Data Warehouse which are published in the Microsoft Azure cloud to provide access via PC & mobile devices. The user base is growing with circa 10,000 users forecast by end of 2018 in line with our roll out of dashboards across DSC globally.

LOGICS is deployed in DSC as our Global management system integrating health, safety, environment, quality (HSEQ) and business metrics within a cloud based platform. This solution is used by our Site Managers and HSEQ professionals in all our sites globally. The application has a current user base of circa 9500 users which will continue to increase as the application is developed to meet further operational needs over the coming years.

What are you accountable for achieving as Global Operations IT Product Manager?

Product & Technical Subject Matter Expert & Product Configuration:
Act as the Single point of contact for the business with regard to Product and Technical Subject Matter Expertise for Global Operation IT Products Global Dashboards & LOGICS, understand in depth the functionality of the Products, their features and capabilities, support configuration of the products where applicable, advise on Product Change requirements from the business and translate into IT Requirements to suppliers. Support data requests and data reporting where applicable.
Change Management & Support Release to production:
Deliver change requested for Operations IT Products. Ensure changes are managed via the ISM Change Management process. Coordinate change & RTP, Create & drive schedules. Coordination & communication with internal & external IT Product & Technical teams. Status updates & testing & configuration where appropriate
Project management:
Provide Project Management & Project Delivery support for Operations IT Projects in support of Product or Process Improvement.
To support the Global Operations Team requirements and Global Operations IT Team plans.
To create & drive schedules, coordination & communication with internal & external IT Product & Technical teams.
Status updates & testing & Configuration where appropriate
Vendor Management Support for each of the products:
Coordinate Vendor Proposals & Statements of work with regard to Product Enhancements and Change Requests to support Business Requirements.
Coordinate delivery of software releases from Vendor. Support Vender Service Reviews and QBRs
Incident Management:
Coordinate resolution of Incidents for Operations IT Products. Ensure incidents are raised via the correct process via GSN either by Email or Request IT. Coordinate response and ensure allocation to correct resolver group or resolve where applicable if providing 2nd Line support. Track Incidents and keep Users up to date on progress and ensure adequate reporting and updates
Problem Management:
Coordinate resolution of Problems for Operations IT Products. Ensure Problems are raised via the correct process via GSN either by Email or Request IT.
Coordinate response an ensure allocation to correct resolver group or resolve where applicable if providing 2nd Line support.
Track Problems and keep Users up to date on progress and ensure adequate reporting and updates
Support IT Processes & perform Analysis:
Provide General IT support for Assessments with regard to IT policy (E.g. Security, User Set-up & Authorisation)
Provide IT analysis to management as required in support of customer requirements, BRMS, MGMT Meetings etc.

What will you need as a successful Global Operations IT Product Manager?

3 to 5 years' experience within the Logistics or IT industries preferably within IT Product or Service Management.
Software development, database development skills e.g. SQL / Oracle / Power BI
Key data management skills.
BI/Dashboard analysis/config experience
IT Service Management.
IT Infrastructure knowledge.
Ability to lead and motivate resource not directly reporting to them to deliver key goals
Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
Good communication & presentation skills.
Ability to make decisions under pressure and time constraints.
Ability to manage a wide range of activities and issues and able to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
Ability to present information in a clear and concise way.
Imperative to grasp and retain ownership of a problem until it is effectively resolved.
Must have strong analytical ability together with sound judgment and pragmatism.
Ability to analyse problems and develop appropriate solutions.
Experience working at a Country / Regional / IT Functional Level within Europe / Americas / APAC would be an advantage
Experience working a Global / IT Functional Level would be an advantage
Degree Level – Required in relevant IT discipline. Also business background
Formal ITIL Qualification.
Foundation Certificate - Desirable
Practitioner or Management Certificate – Desirable
Formal Project Management Qualification.
PRINCE2 Foundation or Similar – Desirable
