Tasks

Daimler Trucks is the worlds biggest manufacturer of commercial vehicles with a global reach. The Daimler Trucks umbrella encompasses five strong truck brands, offering pioneering technologies and tailor-made products for disparate applications all over the world. These products are developed in a global Truck Product Engineering (TP) network.
The department Finance, Controlling & Business Development TP is internally called TP Backbone. By becoming part of the team with ~300 employees globally, we are offering you the chance to actively contribute and further sharpen the backbone of the global R&D and Procurement network. Within your internship you are supporting the assistant to the Head of Finance, Controlling & Business Development TP in strategic, organizational and coordinative tasks.

Your tasks in particular are:
- Support within preparation and implementation of strategic topics
- Clarification and coordination of topics and questions in the global R&D and procurement network
- Priorisation, validation and editing of information for top management
- Preparation of presentations and briefing material for top management
- Coordination of decision relevant documents for steering committees
- Preparation and follow up of regular meetings, discussions, official committees and internal strategic off-sites
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to get detailed insights and strengthen your skills in regards to the following fields:
- Methods in regards to financial planning, quality engineering and engineering management
- Project management
- Communication on top management level
- Professional collaboration with different functional departments of the division Daimler Trucks (e.g. engineering, procurement, quality management and finance & controlling) across several R&D organizations all over the world
- Holistic view on the global engineering network and TP Backbone
- Organization and processes of the business unit Daimler Trucks

Qualifications

Educational background: Bachelors/Masters studies in business economics, economics, business administration, communication, industrial engineering or a similar
Language skills: Fluent English (written and spoken), German preferred
IT-skills: Profound knowledge in MS Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Personal skills: Ability to work independently and in a well-structured way, analytical and conceptual thinking, good communication skills and team orientation, interest in cross-cultural collaboration
