· Create FEA models for structure, thermal, fluid dynamics (CFD) and thermo-electrical simulations
· Execute of linear and non-linear static and dynamic FEA simulations
· Execute structural, thermal and thermo-electrical simulations also modal and fatigue analysis
· Generate FEA simulation reports and presentations
· Perform regular FEA simulation review
· Check of the FEA result to ensure its accuracy
· Define test to verify FEA models
· Verify and correlate FEA models by tests results
· Interpret of the FEA results and generate proposals for optimization and problem solving
· Generate proposals to reduce weight and product costs
· Provide technical feedback and supplies FEA simulation support to development groups
· Develop and optimize FEA methodic for structure, thermal and CFD analysis
· Reduce certification costs with FEA analysis
· Lead technically FEA projects internal and external with engineering partners and customers
· Cooperate with simulation teams from other national and international locations
· Support Continental Development process and milestones
· Support build up FEA simulation Know How and competencies by trainings
· Support evolution of FEA Guideline and FEA know How Management
· Support optimization of the FEA process
· Participate in technology transfer initiatives among world-wide Product Development
Desired profile
Job Requirements
· Master's degree (MS) in numerical simulation, mechanical engineering or related field
· Ph.D. with emphasis on numerical simulation is a plus
· Some years of experience in FEA analysis of power electronic, sensoric, acutators, control units in automotive field
· Ideally, expertise experience in CFD/Thermal FEA analyze of power electronics
· Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
· Experience in sub modelling methods like ANSY- CMS, MOR is a plus
· Background in design of electronic products and development process is a plus
· Minimum 2 years knowledge in ANSYS workbench simulation environment or comparable tools
· Knowledge in analytical tools as MathCad, Matlab, or Simulink would be an advantage
· Fluent written and spoken English and German
· Strong communication skills and ability to work in international teams
