The Herzogenrath R&D Centre (HRDC) has its core competences in the fields of flat glass, thin-film technology, functional and active glazing. It is one of seven leading research and development centres of the Saint-Gobain Group.
Poste et missions:
You will support the R&D activities of the Competence Centre Robotics team. The objective of this competence centre is the development of new production processes based on innovative robot functionalities like 3D vision / human-robot cooperation to enlarge the flexibility of the production and enlarge the field of automatization not only for Saint-Gobain Sekurit, but for the whole sector of innovative materials within Saint-Gobain. The work of the Robotics team is part of our activities within the scope of Industry 4.0.
In this group, such development is done via first experiments in our laboratory or simulation studies, as well as industrialization on production pilot lines. We are working with a strong link to external research labs and industrial integration companies with a large experience in robotics. In collaboration with the competence centre leader, it will be your task to:
›Manage studies and work-packages for R&D projects
›Take part in experimental design, realization of tests and follow-up planning
›Carrying out autonomously trial series in the internal laboratory or on an industrial line
›Deepening group’s know-how by studying literature as well as contact to external research labs
Profil:
Master’s Degree in Mechanical engineering or Physics with a strong background in robotics
›Language skills: good written and spoken German skills and very good written and spoken English skills are required
›You enjoy experimental work and have an analytical way of thinking
›You work self-driven and well-structured, team work and communication are your strengths
›Experience with industrial production processes would be an advantage
