What You'll Do
The Channel SE is a customer-focused technical sales professional who provides technical information and design/implementation mentorship to address specific partner needs. In this position, you will be working alongside technology experts within our partner community to help them position the solution effectively against challenging offerings.
You will be building and presenting Cisco product, technology and solutions information to a range of internal and external audiences, you should also be known outside of your account team for expertise either in a technology/range of technologies or for customer relationship skills, understanding customer needs, and applying relevant Cisco solutions and resources to meet these needs. Strong knowledge of Cisco Enterprise and WAN/LAN/DC & security portfolio and record of success in a pressured environment.
In this job you will:
Have direct channel engineering responsibilities for WAN/LAN/DC & security Technologies and Solutions. You will work collaboratively with extended team members
Provide technology direction mentorship and sales engineering support to Business Development Manager's and partners.
Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive WAN/LAN/DC & security solutions, products and services.
You will work collaboratively co-develop Business plan with aligned PDMs, providing direction and ownership to the technical business needs and strategies.
Effectively deliver to partner technical audiences, customized technology & product presentations and whiteboard discussions.
You will actively participate as an specialist on assigned technology teams and provides consultative support in your area of specialization to other Systems Engineers.
Support Cisco culture by sharing technical, professional, and sales skills and knowledge with others.
You will build strong relationships with technical and sales leadership team, SEVT, Cisco's Business Units, product lines, and associated product managers.
Help build our partners refine their go-to-market strategy and technical portfolio.
Prepare model RFP's and response to customer RFP's.
Conduct training and technical workshops for Customers, Partners and internal teams.
You will need to understand competitor offerings and provide recommendations to the sales team on product positioning and differentiation.
Represent Cisco on community forums and customer facing events.
Handle post-sales issue and resolve issues, by coordinating and working with all internal and external partners.

Who You Are
You have BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline.
Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills.
You should have thorough knowledge of Enterprise architectures and component parts in Switching, Routing, Wireless LAN, network orchestration, Data Center, Collaboration, Video, Internet of Things and Security. Ability to position Cisco portfolio end-to-end is required.
In-depth industry knowledge in specific market segment(s) as well as good competitive knowledge of products/solutions.
Experience in tying key business requirements to technology solutions.
Ability to articulate the business value of technology solutions.
Ability to thrive in a multi-functional, matrix environment.
Adept at using initiative, discretion and discernment to apply technical solutions to complex sales opportunities.
Adept at customer interactions from the CIO through to technical staff.
Impactful verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills.
