You will be part of a highly engaged sales team responsible for driving the success of our digital Placetel collaboration products for the SMB segment reporting directly to the Manager responsible for Placetel Sales & Marketing.Our mission is to digititize the Placetel partner journey and change the way our partners work, learn and do business.

What You'll Do

Cisco is looking for a Business Development Manager in the Placetel Sales Organization for Channel and Distribution Partners. You will be responsible for the development of our Partnerprogram and define the next steps in order to grow our digital business with partners.You will help partners to use our fully digitized sales and service delivery approach and support the sales teams to attract partners and new customers for the SMB segment. You will optimize sales processes in order to further grow digitally our business.


  • Development of the Placetel Partner / Affiliate program
  • Further Development of the digital partner portal
  • Create and deliver partner related content for sales and the digital partner portal
  • Engage/Support sales in the development of the sales and marketing strategy with our top digital partners and distributors
  • Create value propositions and promotions for Placetel partners and distributors
  • Optimize inside and partner sales processes
  • Guide and train partners on our fully digitized sales and service delivery approach
  • Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services
  • Support the sales lead in KPI Management
  • Create and perform sales & strategy presentations
  • Prepare quarterly business reviews with sales & marketing
  • Work closely with sales & marketing to grow Placetel business in the small enterprise Segment

Who you are

You will bring

  • BA or Master degree in business administration, marketing, engineering or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience working in partner sales and/or digital sales as Business Development Manager, Sales or Product Manager preferably in Telco, Cloud or Internet business
  • Sales driven personality who is able to work out partner programs and develop further our digital partner business together with partner sales & marketing
  • Preferably experience in managing partner/channel programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Strong customer interaction skills, open-minded, open communication
  • Willingness to take over responsibilities and accountability for the results of her/his work
  • Strong team player: drive culture of collaboration for success
  • Willingness to travel while managing cost carefully
  • Native German speaker and fluent English (written and verbal)
