CGI is looking for an experienced Tableau Developer with strong AWS and SQL skills to deliver solutions to address the client’s data analytics needs. Beginning with understanding client requirements, documenting the solution design, and developing and testing the solution, the incumbent will determine the best way to utilize the features of Tableau to maximize the value of the delivered results. The developer should have proven expertise with best practices to identify creative and alternative ways to solve issues and validate accuracy of data.

This is a critical role that involves working directly with client personnel. It requires a strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent needs to be self-motivated and take the initiative to research innovative solutions and recommend improvements, while adhering to prescribed standards and procedures.

Your future duties and responsibilities
o Understand business and data requirements to design reports, dashboards, and visualizations in Tableau

o Work with client business and technical users to iteratively create and document reports and dashboards

o Develop reporting solutions using the optimal features of Tableau for functionality and performance

o Complete comprehensive unit and integration testing, using SQL skills to validate data and prove accuracy of results

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Proven experience working with end users to understand report requirements

Demonstrated written communications skills to document reports, dashboards, and visualizations

Experience developing reports and dashboards using Tableau in an AWS environment

Experience troubleshooting reporting issues, ability to identify root cause and provide alternatives for correcting problems

Solid understanding of relational databases and proven experience using SQL to replicate reporting results

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working in a public sector

Knowledge of the transportation industry

Experience working with human resource data

Minimum Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar related field.
