Position Description
CGI is seeking a Systems Administrator to support mission-critical applications for a large government agency. This role involves the administration and maintenance of several diverse server technologies, including RedHat Linux and Windows as well as their associated applications. This role also includes performing various web application deployments monthly. The applicant will be expected to work well in an agile, ticket-based work environment. Minimal help desk coverage is also expected.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, and manage tuning system performance. Operational system activities include configuration management, patching, updating and troubleshooting. Also optimize systems and resource utilization while continuing to provide system capacity analysis and planning. Plan and execute the installation and configuration of systems into the client's data center, including configuring, monitoring, operating and maintaining systems.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Minimum three (3) years of direct work related experience is required.
Detailed understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and Red Hat Linux (current versions)
• Knowledge of BigFix, Symantec, RMAD, and RemoteAccess
• Expert in backup strategies and implementation
• Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012
• Experience with enterprise virtualization
• Scripting knowledge
• Basic understanding of SAN-based storage presentation
• Some experience with Cisco networking technologies
• Experience with Datacenter/Server operational components (monitoring, management, etc.)
• Experience with enterprise virtualization
• Troubleshoot problems and/or escalate issues and problems to team manager
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and lead technical projects
• Recommend system resource changes, as needed, and to accommodate future growth
• Follow strict change management procedures
