Software Engineer - Devops

Position Description
First level Applications Development professional, representing the most common entry point into the organisation. Performs routine activities related to applications development. Focuses on learning and acquiring work skills/knowledge in the Applications Development field.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• The member should have experience in Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud-based production system.
• The member should have worked in Build, release and configuration management of production systems.
• The member should have hands on in Acceptance Testing to help assure the quality of our products / services.
• The resource should have experience in System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.
• The resource should be Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.
• The member should be able to Shoulder the responsibility of Incident, Problem and Change Management.
• The resource should be able in Keeping Infrastructure documents and Cookbooks up-to-date.
• The member should be collaborating with other IT teams to resolve issues and providing updates to customer on regular basis.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• AWS: 2+ years’ experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, EKS) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security.
• DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer including automation experience with configuration management tools.
• Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python) and automation skills.
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, CloudWatch).
• Knowledge of restful API’s.
• Prior work experience in supporting applications and Infrastructure
• Windows and Linux server administration and troubleshooting
• Good Communication Skills
• Troubleshooting Skills
