Position Description
CGI is seeking a Software Developer who will research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
• Develop and maintain complex applications and software modules using programming languages such as JAVA, JDBC, APIs, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle stored procedures, UNIX, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Application Framework (OAF), JDeveloper, TOAD, UTL FILE, Appworx, Autosys, and ETL technologies
• Analyze and convert backlogs and user story definitions into development requirements
• Map business requirements as user stories, and use this information to design software solution specifications for development
• Design and Developing interfaces for Oracle EBS AP, AR, GL, INV, OM and PO modules
• Code and test application enhancements and solution specifications to identify defects for improvement
• Create a software development strategy in collaboration with other developers in the development team
• Evaluate test results and collaborate with the development team maintain team SharePoint site
• Mentor junior developers to ensure they understand and properly utilize optimal development methodologies (Agile)
Evaluate the interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of the overall system.
• Perform incident triage and root cause analysis
• Review and respond to IT service requests for Change Impact analysis, business requests for analysis
• Assess the level of effort (LoE) for application enhancements
• Implement coding changes based on root cause analysis and resolution plans
• Manage and maintain all problem tickets created for production incidents requiring code changes
Document the testing and maintenance of system corrections.
• Collaborate with the System Integration Team (SIT) and User Acceptance Team (UAT) to review and confirm test strategies, test plans, and test cases
• Analyze SIT and UAT defects identified by the testing team
• Code and unit test SIT and UAT defect fixes to ensure resolution
• Document code enhancements implemented to fix SIT and UAT defects
• Record artifacts in the systems-of-record
Involved in the planning of system and development deployment and hold responsibility for meeting software compliance standards.
• Collaborate with SIT, UAT, and development teams to build implementation plans and strategy
• Review and confirm implementation plans with Release Managers
• Support implementations during production to resolve any defects or fixes required during implementation
• Perform technical shakeout testing using the application testing procedures required following implementation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience.
