Position Description
CGI in Atlantic Canada are looking for a high performing Intermediate .NET Developers to work as part of a team delivering complex solutions to a large global aerospace organization. Our client is based in France but has a significant presence here in Canada, they are modernizing their flight operations systems and associated technologies. We have been asked to work with them to design, build and implement new systems and platforms that can accommodate their rapidly growing business needs.
will be part of a number of small Agile teams, collocated right here with our clients experts and focused on the design, development and testing of these new systems. The .NET Developer role and responsibilities include operating in a .NET enterprise environment thru full software development life-cycle, from concept, architecture and design to testing. Your future duties and responsibilities
•.NET developer responsibilities include developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance.

•Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.

•Write well designed, testable, efficient code, adhere to SOLID principles.

•Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.

•Prepare and produce releases of software components.

•Work seamlessly with geographically distributed teams.

•Work with the scrum master and help establish sprint activities and tasks.

•Participate in the daily standup and provide status updates, contribute to team meetings.

•Provide and recommend innovative solutions to complex architectural issues.

•Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

•Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

•Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
•BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject (or equivalent work experience)

•Proven recent/current working experience in .NET development

•Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using .NET core platform

•Experience with building .NET Core apps for Linux platform will be a big plus

•Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns

•Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Angular framework 2/4/5

•Hands on experience in designing and developing applications for Microservices Architecture will be a big plus

•Any experience with using full DevOps toolchain will be a plus

•Good knowledge of .NET and Web Development

•Good knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (EF/Dapper etc..)

•Experience in Maria DB will be considered an asset

•Experience with SDLC tools, frameworks and methodologies

•Experience working with AGILE teams and tools including but not limited to - JIRA, Confluence, Crucible - will be considered an asset

•Experience as a Microsoft Certified Professional is an asset
