Summary

The Commercial Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations and win new business. The Commercial Operations Manager will be required to manage the sales process from the Bid/No Bid meeting through to handover to Operations, opportunity close out and win/loss analysis. The candidate will coordinate and support all activities pertaining to bid development standardization and the bidding process itself. Additionally the candidate will help identify, pursue and capture new business opportunities and nurture relationships with clients throughout the sales and tendering process.

Key Responsibilities
• In collaboration with key stakeholders, manage the tendering process from Bid/No Bid through to project win/loss and turnover to operations
• Coordinate key milestone meetings inclusive of bid / No bid, proposal review prior submittal and turnover to operations
• Develop/adopt standardized tendering process and documentation using latest templates in collaboration sales and marketing teams.
• Ownership of bid compliance approval matrix. Deal review set up as necessary.
• Development of accurate and consistent tenders (bid proposals) in collaboration with Sales and Technical Proposal Engineering, Legal and other necessary stakeholders as necessary.
• Horizontal leadership. Support horizontal capability support, working with teams outside current P&U associates to ensure full utilization of capabilities for Power and Utility customers.
• In collaboration with business leadership, development and reporting Commercial Operations Key Process Indicators
• Manage daily operations to include contract negotiations, bid proposal submissions, tender follow up support and extra work authorization support.
• Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients.
• Support sales by identifying vertical and horizontal accretive opportunities to expand the business during tendering process.
• In collaboration with Engineering assess risk and opportunities during tendering process for existing and new business initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Must have at least three years of experience in project management, business development, customer management, sales or related field, a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing from an accredited school, or a combination of experience and education.
