For our location based in Hennigsdorf, Germany, we are currently looking to recruit a:

Procurement Bid Manager / Specialist (m/w)

Purpose of the job:
The Procurement Bid Manager or Specialist is responsible for driving the coordination of all Procurement Bid preparation activities including liaison with other functions to ensure a competitive procurement cost input into Bombardier Transportation Tenders and for assessment of all Procurement risks and mitigation actions to ensure flawless execution.

Key Accountabilities:

- Winning material bids and management of Cost at Bill of Material
- Support the preparation of selected White Books by preparing Procurement input covering topics of supplier panel, localization and logistics
- Define the target price and influence all functions to get a proper agreement for procurement bid input
- Ensure Commodity sourcing strategies are integrated in to the Bid in consultation with Global Lead Buyers
- Ensure and obtain a validated Engineering Bill of Material from the Engineering teams
- Coordinate offers from suppliers and ensure deployment of Supplier offer and evaluation tool to drive optimized procurement cost and supplier selection in Cost at Bill of Material
- Co-ordinate and manage Bill of Material for specific tenders
- Ensure all Procurement risks are identified, reviewed and integrated in to the BID ROP
- Contribute to the Blue Book and support Bid Manager in the Governance process
- Preparing the procurement elements of the Blue Book throughout each of its iterations over the life cycle of the bid

- Manage material cost reduction activities
- Drive and Identify cost reduction initiatives to improve the profitability and competitiveness of the BT input to the Customer
- Support the completion of material bid input and risk assessment where appropriate

- Bid Management
- Act as the Procurement representative on the Bid Core team
- Put in place a hand over process to ensure continuity from bid to project with the designated Project Procurement manager
- Support the gate process during the Bid preparation process
- Undertake lessons learnt exercise on bids and ensure feedback loop in to other bids and projects

- Support supplier ‘best in class’ performance
- Ensure alignment of bid sourcing plan with all stakeholders
- Support supplier negotiations for material bids in coordination with Global Commodity Buyers and Lead Buyers
- Upload all Procurement Bid inputs and documents in to the BT Procurement Bids Project Tracking Database (PTD) / SharePoint

Qualifikationen

- Engineering degree with commercial background or commercial degree with technical background
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, cost reduction activities and Life cycle material cost/Total Cost Ownership
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in a relevant position
- Strong communication abilities and experience in cross-functional working environments
- Business fluent level in English
