Analyst/Associate- Prime Solutions & Financing Risk Management

Business Overview:
Prime Brokerage has consistently year over year increased revenues at BNP and is the driver of new business to many other parts of the bank.

Responsibilities:
Assist the PB Risk team to support and expand the hedge fund financing franchise.

• Manage day-to-day risks of the prime brokerage business
• Review margin calculations and methodologies
• Run margin calculations and risk analyses for prospective clients
• Respond to hedge fund client questions about margin
• Prepare reports for management in New York and Paris summarizing key exposures
• Evaluate quality of security pricing
• Interact with technology teams on project work including design, implementation, and testing of margin methodologies
• Conduct stress testing on client portfolios

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications:
Education or significant experience in financial markets, combined with an exceptional general intelligence and a passion for the markets.

• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor's degree with technical and business coursework
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and Access (including SQL)
• General knowledge of capital markets
• Additional experience that would be helpful: Bloomberg, Oracle

Preferred Qualifications:
• Understanding fundamentals of financial instruments and markets
• Ability to quantify risks involved in the trading strategies
• Ability to simulate risk sensitivities of various products financed under our franchise
• Ability to communicate risks to customers in a precise and professional manner
• Interaction with other teams on the floor is crucial
• Understand marketers and client needs and provide them with necessary support
• Convey risk information and discuss parameters with clients

FINRA Registrations Required:
• Series 7 and 63 will be required.
