Job description

Recently BNP Paribas established a European finance operations centre in Lisbon, with 235 positions, and part of the Group Finance function. Group Finance Services (GFS) is responsible for compiling and processing accounting and financial information in order to ensure the publication of financial information and to provide Executive Management with the necessary information for the entire Group's financial management.

Within GFS, Accounting and Financial Reporting team is in charge of the Group and sub-group consolidated financial statements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Accounting Analyst - trainee, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the main mission of this team, which is the production of accounting reports and financial statements (IFRS standards and French GAAP) for a set of French BNP Paribas subsidiaries, in close relationship with business lines.

You will participate in the following activities:

· Maintain entities' accounting records
· Ensure the production and reliability of the local and consolidation package (quarterly and monthly)
· Analyse variations from a closing to another through analytical reviews
· Produce French tax returns (including VAT)
· Contribute to continuous improvement of processes (controls, restitution and synthesis)
· Participate to transversal projects

Desired profile

Qualifications :

SKILLS

·  University degree in Accounting or Finance
·  Professional experience in accounting is a plus
·  Understanding of accounting and international accounting framework (IFRS standards)
·  Fluent in English (minimum B2 Level, CECRL certificate)
·  Analytical skills
·  Rigorous and organized
·  Communication skills (oral & written)
·  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
