The junior project leader supports the Project Manager in the leadership of the project team through the implementation process. There is a high level of interaction and influence with project team to ensure the team keeps the schedule commitments. The junior project leader follows product development processes. The person in this role must be developing independence and strong leadership skills to evolve to leading activities and or smaller/medium projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Assist in tracking team deliverables for project completion;
- Taking care of project communication by interacting with Tech Lead, Project Core Team members and extended teams to ensure internal alignment and external communication;
- Work within the guidelines of the organization’s project office model, standard performance metrics and regulatory guidelines to support, plan, monitor, control and implement projects;
- Create and maintain project schedules;
- Taking care of tracking and mitigating project risks;
- Maintain project team SharePoint Site;
- Build and monitor project budget, including purchasing of supplies and equipment as needed and ensure resource allocation;
PROFILE:
- Strong attention to business aspects;
- Strong leadership potential;
- Understanding of PMI (Project Management Institute) guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices and Product Development Process requirements;
- Experience with scheduling software;
- Product Development experience;
EDUCATION:
- At the discretion of Hiring Manager, a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 1-2 years project management experience and 2 years of product life cycle experience;
