ODP
The Operations Development Program (ODP) is an early career talent program focused on developing future Baxter leaders with a strong foundation in Baxter plant operations. Comprised of 4 six-month assignments in Europe, rotations are designed to provide associates with a well-rounded view of Baxter’s manufacturing processes and systems. The ODP Associate will gain valuable experience including but not limited to Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES
Associates are responsible for learning and understanding all aspects of rotational assignment, such as:
- Quality Assurance—ensure adequate adherence and deployment of quality systems such as batch record review, product release, change control, exception management, and product annual reviews
- Supply Chain—will learn Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory processes and understand how a supply chain is influenced or affected by each
Incumbent will become skillful in a broad range of Operations responsibilities such as:
- Understanding manufacturing systems and structures in order to apply improvements in current rotational area
- Reviewing and analyzing data using applicable information systems, databases and established tools within the area· Highlighting data findings based on this analysis and recommending actions to improve specific operational approach
- In Lessines, they will follow up and overview project “Nutrition 2020” from A to Z :
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Specification, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, installation, and validation of projects that range in scope from:
- Line validations for projects utilizing existing equipment
- Specification/procurement of product contact parts, material handling parts, tanks, instrumentation, and additional support equipment
- Procurement and fitment of change parts for entire lines
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress. Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation (develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs,…) to be shared with other staff members
- Coordinating testing : writing and executing protocols and test cases for validations
- Assisting/leading training for systems
- Identify and execute projects to guaranty the increase of production until 2022 (Long Range Plan). Concretely, follow up projects about the entire Nutrition process: Mixing, Filling, Sterilization, Packing and connex tasks (Utilities, Facilities, …)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Electomecanics or equivalent
- First experience in medical device or pharma industry is preferred. Or minimally, relevant internship experience is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in French and English
- Demonstrated initiator and self-driven nature
- Comfort with change and ambiguity
- Demonstrated Leadership skills to include personal accountability, decision quality, customer focus, drive for results, integrity, trust and influencing skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Ability to solve technical problems
- Ability to function effectively as a member of a team
- Flexibility to work in assignments across functions and locations in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness and commitment to relocate within Europe during the program
- Candidates must be already authorized to be legally employed on an on-going basis in Europe
