Project Accountant – Harrier

Would you like a highly varied Accounting role working with a broad set of business functions within our US Programmes sector? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Accountant at our site in Samlesbury.

As a Project Accountant, you will cover key Project Accounting areas such as contract status reports, In year forecasts / monthly financial review reporting and 5 year integrated business plan as well as support to Project Management and Commercial teams on day to day issues.

The role will provide an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain a sound understanding of project accounting in what is a growth area of the Air business.

Your main responsibilities as a Project Accountant will involve:

Completing of contract status reports), Sales and margins trading plans and supporting packs to agreed timescales

Supporting the quarterly estimate at completion refresh process and associated reviews

Supporting the monthly forecast and Cash forecasting inputs

Supporting the preparation of 5 year integrated business plan inputs

Supporting the invoicing process including the raising of invoices, the management of debt and the preparation of supporting documentation

Providing accurate and relevant financial information to the Integrated Project teams and assisting the wider business in understanding and interpreting key financial information

Maintaining and improving the control environment in accordance with the Finance Policies Manual and Financial Control Framework

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant - CIMA, ACCA, ACA

Strong systems skills including knowledge of Excel

Desirable:

Project accounting experience

Manufacturing background ideal but not essential

SAP experience

Salary: £36,735 +
