Provide technical and project execution functions for design and integration of automotive test cell systems
Your Responsibilities:
· Project Engineer I provides the required systems integration and design necessary to execute customer projects or support sales activities.
· The specific roles of a Project Engineer I include:
· Executes engineering tasks according to project requirements.
· Supports sales activities by providing technical input to customer requirements
· Single point technical contact for customer projects
· Completes engineering evaluation, manufacturing and installation documentation necessary to deliver test system in accordance with customer specifications
· Coordinates and executes technical design reviews for internal and external meetings
· Provide technical input to support manufacturing of equipment and site activities
· Executes project in compliance with engineering principles, local codes, company standards, maintainability and customer requirements
· Utilize appropriate CAD and engineering tools to create best in class solutions
· Supports project manager in customer meetings, financial estimates, vendor relations
· Other duties as required to insure project success
Desired profile
Your Profile:
· Project Engineer I is expected to have demonstrated performance abilities in the following areas:
· Commercial
· Efficient on time delivery of project expectations with consistently high feedback
· Technical ◦Recognize and implement global AVL products and technology
· Working knowledge with local codes and regulations as they relate to automotive test facilities and equipment
· Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Visio and Project
· Independent functionality in the following areas / systems (relative to area of expertise):
· AutoCAD or Eplan drawing package for electrical schematics
· Solidworks, REVIT or AutoCAD for mechanical and 3D designs
· Data acquisition and controls system design and implementation
· Pneumatic and hydraulic design
· Design of rotating equipment
· Frequency and stress analysis
· 480V / 220V / 110V power distribution systems
· Building utility systems including ventilation, water systems, air, fuel, fire protection, and pipe distribution
· Relational
· Working effectively with customers and other program staff and team members
· Accountability for delivery of engineering packages
· Active pursuit of personal and departmental improvement
· Effective communication with all levels of the project team
· Experience and Education
· 2+ years' experience in area of expertise
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent job related experience
