Mission

As a data scientist, you will join the High Processing & Volume (HPV) division of the Research & Development (R&D) department. The main role of the HPV division is to identify the future trends in the field of machine learnings that can be useful for the business of Worldline and to investigate new big-data technologies via a proof-of-concepts.

The main topics covered by HPV division concern: data mining, adaptive system, learning systems, pattern recognition, semantic analysis, artificial intelligence, optimization, decision support, multi-agent systems, etc.

This job will bring you to collaborate with HPV data scientists and machine learning researchers located at different office sites in Europe. While working on your own research topics, in the R&D department, you will be involved in international research programs and you will help to coordinate the work with research centers and universities specialized in machine learning. You will be occasionally involved in supporting Worldline’s business units when they seek the expertise of R&D department.

Besides these activities, you will participate in the valorization of intellectual property (patents, etc.), producing scientific publications, participate in technical or scientific conferences and contribute to our transversal approach of dissemination of knowledge.

Job Requirements

· Ph.D. in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Statistics or related fiel.
· Strongly motivated, love machine learning and deep learning, demonstrate expertise in data mining, automated knowledge acquisition and feature engineering.
· You have a strong mathematical background and analytical mindset.
· Good programming skills; experience the following tools: Python, R or C++ will be an advantage.
· The ability to quickly learn new technologies and successfully implement them is essential.
· You are fluent in English.
· You are a pro-active and effective communicator.
