The opportunity

To work for an industry leading team delivering an innovative solution for a public sector client. It delivers services to the public directly remotely via business centres and some on-line services. The Reform Programme is ambitious and innovative and requires a flexible workforce to transform the entire Service, improving the provision of a world-class system, in a manner that provides an improved user experience at reduced cost to the taxpayer. This will contribute to consolidating the UK’s position at the forefront of an increasingly competitive international market as well as ensuring access for all.

The programme is of 6 years duration, due to complete in 2022, and is currently running with more than 400 personnel across thirty workstreams.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

The Expert UI team are building the tools that support professional users.

The programme follows the SAFe methodology for scaled agile, using programme increments (PIs) of six two-weekly sprint cycles, totalling 12 weeks per PI. Each workstream follows the Scrum framework at the individual team level, typically using sprint cycles of two weeks.

You will be based in central London, working from the client site in East London and must be eligible to obtain security clearance for work within the UK public sector .

Skills we can’t do without:

Most ExpertUI development work is around frontend Angular components. Developers must have experience of the following technologies:

·  HTML5, CSS 3, SASS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular 6+
·  Frontend test frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, Protractor)
·  git or other modern distributed version control system, github
·  crafting and consuming RESTful endpoints

Skills we’d like:

·  backend development in node.js
·  NgRx/flux
·  Agile development using Scrum
·  Azure cloud development, or cloud development on another major public cloud provider
·  DevOps for Azure cloud deployed applications
·  backend development using Java/Spring
·  Jira and Confluence
·  Contract testing with Pact
·  Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines
