JOB PURPOSE:
1) To ensure Test processes enable product to be tested to Customer requirements.
2) To ensure customer and AFB test documentation is controlled to adhere to required quality standards.
3) To provide Engineering support for Customer and Supplier interface.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTIONS
a) To ensure sufficient information is available to allow manufacturing testing to Customer requirements.
b) To provide the sales department with test related costing information to enable quoting.
c) To ensure adequate in-house documentation and manufacturing test processes are in place to meet Customer requirements.
d) To provide design feedback to Customers recommending possible improvements.
e) To ensure that New Product Introduction conforms to laid down Tool Try Out procedures prior to full production acceptance.
f) To ensure that DFT analysis, Test strategy and Test equipment design are performed to test manufactured boards.
2) PRODUCTION SUPPORT
a) To ensure that sufficient test equipment is available to perform processes efficiently and to required quality standard
b) To provide documentation, tooling and software for automated production testing (ATE.)
c) To provide diagnostic support for test, liaising with the customer where appropriate.
d) To provide training for technical processes, ensuring that all operators are capable of meeting required quality and safety standards
e) Ensure that all applicable tooling and processes meet Health and Safety requirements in liaison with the Health and Safety Manager.
f) To liaise with the Customer and other departments when required.
g) To ensure that the Company is using/aware of the most appropriate machinery/technology to meet Customer requirements.
3) DOCUMENTATION CONTROL
In Conjunction with the Production Engineering Manager –
a) To ensure that all Customer information required for manufacturing is logged as per quality procedures.
b) To ensure that all process packages reflect the current issue status.
c) To ensure that all process related software is controlled and backups provided.
JOB PROFILE
- Education & Qualification :
University degree or masters level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Experience
Experience of Digital, Analogue and RF Testing, Test Development and Test development management
The ability to liaise with customers at engineering level.
Experience of manufacturing test techniques and process including AOI, ICT, ICT-FP, JTAG & FT
Comprehensive DFT analysis capabilities using software or manual methods.
- Skills/Competencies
Good communication skills both upwards and downwards.
Ability to liaise with customers at engineering level.
Ability to manage projects from conception to deployment
Ability to read and understand circuit schematics diagrams
