World Wide Public Sector (WWPS) Sales Enablement is looking for an experienced Technical Enablement Lead (Trainer) who is great fun to work with because at Amazon Web Services, we have a credo of “Work hard. Make history.” We are looking for an energetic and dynamic individual to take ownership of the internal Public Sector training & enablement programs for customer-facing ‘Tech Team' members (new hires and tenured staff).
The WWPS Technical Enablement Lead will work closely with various stakeholders in AWS to develop offerings that ensure the public sector Tech Team is well-equipped with the resources, training, and knowledge to accelerate our business. These offerings may include new curriculums, training/enablement programs, resources/job aids, or other training content; these may be shared through electronic distribution or delivered via virtual or live classroom settings. This individual must understand AWS services and be able to communicate technical concepts in an effective and influential manner.

This role's primary objectives are to 1) support the WWPS Tech Team (Professional Services, Solutions Architect, and Business Development) to continuously improve new hires' onboarding time to field readiness; and 2) develop ongoing training/knowledge/skills needed to ensure continued robust delivery. Collaborating with leaders, functional roles, subject matter experts, and other trainers in AWS, this individual must own the lifecycle of the training and enablement programs they design. This entails strategy/planning, development, communication and awareness, facilitation, tracking/metrics, and ongoing maintenance. To ensure the programs align to WWPS business priorities and needs, relationship management with the content contributors/subject matter experts as well as the target audience will be critical for the success of this role.

The successful candidate will:
· Design and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness and utility of training and enablement initiatives; produce executive-level reports on the adoption and effectiveness of these enablement investments.
· Design and facilitate OR scale existing onboarding/continuous learning training content, lab exercises, presentations, and materials.
· Communicate technical concepts to technical (and sometimes non-technical) audiences through classroom or online channels.
· Build strong cross-functional relationships, often bringing resources together to achieve learning objectives and share best-practice knowledge across the training community.
· Teach and coach others to expedite knowledge transfer in the organization.
· Minimal travel, up to 20%, may include international locations

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 6+ years of experience in computer programming or in technical role
· 3+ years of recent experience designing and delivering classroom and/or virtual training for related cloud technology products and services
· 3+ years of recent experience creating training presentations, job aids, technical labs, etc. to supplement classroom learning
· Technical degree (i.e. Computer Science) and/or relevant work experience required
