DESCRIPTION

Do your designs make people “ooh” and “ahh”, maybe do the occasional cartwheel? If so, get in on this. Amazon's start up business, Treasure Truck, seeks a talented Visual Designer to join our creative team in building our unique offers and events. This will be a 12 month fixed term contract.

Treasure Truck is an unexpected shopping experience that combines traditional retail, online mobile shopping, and a beloved neighborhood ice cream truck. On days we have offers, we load the Truck with a single, exciting, and highly curated product at an amazing price. We notify customers of the offers via text message, adding a sweet surprise to their day, and curate detail pages that explain why we love the product (and why they should too!). They purchase through the app and pick up their product same-day, at one of the convenient stops around the city. Upon arrival, they're treated to a fun and festive experience. It's always a party at the Truck!

As a Visual Designer, everything you touch will surprise and delight customers. You'll design unique creative campaigns that drive excitement for and bring playfulness to each offer experience. As the ideal candidate, you're known for your ability to create engaging graphics that translate across print and digital mediums—with strong typography, illustration, and motion skills to match. You're able to work within brand guidelines to strategize, build, and present design work that customers want to take a screenshot of, or pose with. You're naturally inquisitive and work at the intersection of customer needs and business goals, blending both into winning campaigns that build the Treasure Truck brand. You're a self-starter with strong organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and thrive in an atmosphere of rapid development. Collaboration is in your DNA, but you aren't afraid prioritize, make decisions, and communicate with authority. And we really like that about you.

Responsibilities include:

· Own the development of offer assets such as detail page images, social images, and motion graphics
· Select and edit/retouch photography to use in the offer campaigns
· Partner with Marketing team to devise and create Treasure Truck brand campaigns that entice customers through site merchandising, email, printed collateral, out-of-home, and more
· Invent design assets for Treasure Truck events that include motion graphics, games, and posters
· Scope design initiatives, prioritize projects, and proactively manage own time and deadlines
· Maintain composure in critical situations and communicate clearly with both internal and external customers
· Present and rationalize work to business partners and Creative Lead
· Build on the brand by creating offer style guides that incorporate photography, typography, illustration, and/or motion-based concepts

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Visual Designer
· Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
· An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant work experience across both online and offline channels
· Strong visual design aesthetic with a bias for delight
· Expertise in standard Adobe Creative Suite
· Proficiency in Adobe After Effects
· Ability to quickly turn around detailed comps/mockups in an iterative environment
· Unwavering attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
· Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from stakeholders
· The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task
· The ability to work across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work
