DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Technical Training Program Manager to join our Amazon Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and be someone who has a proven track record of developing training content and delivering training to others. The position will be based in Seattle and involve managing technical training programs within NA, however, collaboration and support at a global level may be necessary on a limited basis.

We have experienced rapid growth in the demand for a wide range of training courses. To meet these needs, the RME Technical Training team has been tasked with creating blended training programs that support employees working within our Fulfillment Centers, Transportation Centers, and Global Specialty Operation Centers.

We have developed and continue to develop technical courses, skills based training, practical exercises and assessments for our teams who maintain availability and reliability within our Fulfillment, Transportation, and Global Specialty Operations (GSO) centers. We have adopted a blended approach mixing both instructor led, web based and skills based (practical hands on) methods of delivery.

The successful candidate will have excellent people skills, communication & writing skills and the ability to translate complex technical content into easy-to-understand training. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have data analysis, training, instructional design or technical writing experience, and above all must have a passion for learning and developing others.
Responsibilities
· Creatively use instructional design, learning theories, and appropriate technologies to enhance learning and engage learners.
· Develop interactive eLearning solutions that contain precise content presented in contextually accurate scenarios to engage learners and increase knowledge transfer.
· Design, develop, and consult on implementation of powerful on-the-job training solutions that decrease the lead time to proficiency in North American Fulfillment Centers, Transportation Centers, and Global Specialty Operations Centers.
· Collaborate with other department resources to ensure developed content is created in accordance with global standards and leveraged accordingly.
· Manage resourcing of training projects; including delivery and development.
· Support the development and justification of training budgets and programs.
· Guide a team of highly skilled Subject Matter Experts to understand the training needs and build effective training modules within a wider, set technical curriculum.
· Create simple and effective project plans and manage plan to completion. Create processes and methods to reduce the product design lifecycle and increase quality.
· Work with a diverse group of stakeholders across regions to understand customer needs and to validate effectiveness of solutions. Communicate effectively to sponsors and stakeholders and partner carefully with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to drive results.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor degree or 2+ years of Amazon Experience
· E-Learning experience with Adobe Captivate, Adobe Presenter, Camtasia, Articulate, or similar · At least 2 years of experience developing/translating technical content into effective learning solutions
· At least 2 years of experience conducting training needs analysis on a variety of technical related processes, procedures, tools and critical assets
· At least 2 years of experience in project management experience including planning work, managing details, coordinating and keeping multiple tasks/projects on track and delivering reliable results
Ability to travel up to 30%
