Amazon Rentals is a newly launched program that provides an easy to use service for Students to acquire Textbooks for a semester at a low price. Students benefit from a lower cost upfront, FREE returns, 2-day Student Prime Shipping, and is backed by the same world class customer service Amazon provides today. Building on this success, we plan to expand as the Rentals Platform for Amazon across multiple product categories and scale to support rapidly growing business goals. Along the way we will also enable new customer features, such as try-before-you-buy an item, that will change the way customers shop at Amazon. We are building a new platform (completely new services), if you are interested in leading massive expansion plans and architecting systems for the future, keep reading.

We are seeking a self-directed, business savvy, growth-oriented and respected TPM with the capability and passion to drive the best solutions. The ideal candidate will draw upon exemplary analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, deep software development experience, and a passion for creating reliable and maintainable systems. Experience with Retail Ordering, logistics and/or workflow management systems and/or digital asset management systems would be a strong plus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications

- 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry
- 3+ years of coding experience in Java, C++, and Perl
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
- Experience managing efforts in Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications
- A first-hand working knowledge of current web technologies
- Experience with business applications such as Word, Excel and Project
