Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Systems Engineer III to support Kinesis.

Amazon Kinesis makes it easy to collect, process, and analyze real-time, streaming data so you can get timely insights and react quickly to new information. Amazon Kinesis offers key capabilities to cost-effectively process streaming data at any scale, along with the flexibility to choose the tools that best suit the requirements of your application. With Amazon Kinesis, you can ingest real-time data such as video, audio, application logs, website clickstreams, and IoT telemetry data for machine learning, analytics, and other applications.

We're looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team in our Herndon, VA location. In this role, you will conduct DevOps responsibilities in support of Kinesis. This will include identifying and resolving issues, automating repetitive processes, and working closely with development teams. You will dive deep into code and logs, drive prioritization of operational issues, and become intimate with the architecture of our systems.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment
· 8+ years of experience working with Linux/Unix systems
· 8+ years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments
· 5+ year of experience working with automation tools
· 5+ years with BASH/Powershell/Python/Ruby or any other scripting languages
· This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
