Today we run one of the largest time-series data stores on the planet and teams in CloudWatch solve problems of massive metric ingestion, distributed systems/cloud computing, data visualization, log processing and analytics, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. Our services are the “eyes and ears” for customers everywhere, both inside Amazon along with AWS customers across the world. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance the next generation of AWS hybrid and edge cloud computing with monitoring solutions for a vast range of enterprises and secure ruggedized environments.

CloudWatch has a fast-paced environment where we “Work Hard, Have Fun, Make History.” On a typical day, system development engineers will use metrics to drive operational improvements, build and implement the latest technologies to reduce operational issues, and contribute to the overall health of CloudWatch.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment
· 5+ years of experience working with Linux/Unix systems
· 5+ years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments
· 3+ years of experience working with automation tools
· 3+ years with BASH/Powershell/Python/Ruby or any other scripting languages
