If you are a Systems Developer who is passionate about building the services used to build the world’s premier cloud computing environment, then this is the job for you.

Server Provisioning Tools team is responsible for maintaining the core services which make the cloud available to our customers. We're also responsible for the tooling required to build and maintain the building, repurposing, and retirement of unique server types. We have openings for engineers with experience building scalable and distributed systems.

Systems Development Engineers work with technical leaders to refine technical direction, and then follow through with detailed review, designs, and truly innovative code. They are equally comfortable leading small, focused project teams as well as making major direct contributions to the project. Systems Development Engineers are builders who are fluent in at least one scripting language, have a strong grasp of operational excellence and sustaining engineering.

The right engineer for this role will be comfortable with the Linux operating system and understand how to develop in languages such as Ruby, Java, and Perl in a Linux environment. Experience with version control systems, automated build processes, and software unit testing are a must.

We use a combination of Scrum, Agile, and continuous deployment to deliver projects based on realistic timelines and resource constraints.

This team creates the very core of the cloud, and is directly responsible for radically changing and improving the way that people use computers - come help us make history!

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Operating System knowledge in both Win and Linux
· AWS experience with production workloads.
· Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services
· Experience with agile software development practices
· Experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment
· Experience with some aspect(s) of computer security: network security, application security, security protocols, cryptography, etc.
· Experience with IAM, Active Directory and ADFS.
· Experience in a DevOps team, supporting CI/CD workloads.
· Experience setting up, maintaining and coordinating the automated patch and configuration management of production servers.
· Object oriented programming experience (Java, C#, C++…)

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of experience in a System administration, System engineering, or DevOps role
· 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following scripting languages: Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python, PowerShell…
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
