Sr. Salesforce Developer (Application Development Engineer II)

High Volume Hiring (HVH) program focus is on automation of recruiting process to drive recruiting and onboarding at the hundreds of thousands per year scale. HVH builds features, enhancements, and enable synergy through integrations to seek benefits for World Wide Operations/Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service. Due to the high volume of transactions, bulk processing through asynchronous execution is used extensively in HVH. HVH team continues to seek out creative solutions via either AWS technologies (Lamda, DynamoDB, etc.), external technologies, or mixture of both.

As an Application Development Engineer you will own and execute HR software and service delivery initiatives globally to build scale, efficiency, and a great customer experience. You will be completely responsible for the design, engineering, testing, release, and support of the features you build. You will provide solutions that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable on the Force.com platform. You will also drive automation of processes, develop new applications, and manage the integrations to our various business systems for our Salesforce.com (SFDC) environment. This includes development, configuration, maintenance, and integration with other Amazon systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for developing in Force.com, Visualforce, Apex, Java, AJAX, Javascript, and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions
· Seek out ways to utilize SFDC to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace
· Perform technical analysis, level-of-effort estimation, design, development, implementation of applications with necessary customizations and integration
· Support across systems and related integrations native to the SFDC ecosystem.
· Build solutions on SFDC platform, including development of Web Services and use of API’s
· Work with a cross-functional Scrum team to maintain and enhance Salesforce Service Cloud applications in iterative release cycles
· Troubleshoot and fix defects for planed releases and production issues
· Research and find opportunities to utilize SFDC best practices, guidelines to improve system productivity, scaling and monitoring
· Perform SFDC systems maintenance, environment refresh, data integration duties

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field
· Certified Salesforce.com Platform Developer or equivalent experience
· Certified Salesforce.com Administrator or equivalent experience
· Understanding of key SFDC architecture concepts and how they influence design
· In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the SFDC CRM application coupled with good understanding of HR business processes.
· Professional experience in a test-driven and formal QA development environment, including development/staging/production (or similar) deployment cycles.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment
· Demonstrated success in implementing at least two full life cycle SFDC implementations
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field.
· 3+ years of experience in Salesforce.com platform as a developer
· Certified Salesforce.com Platform Developer or equivalent experience
· VisualForce, Apex Classes/Controllers, Apex Triggers development experience
· Web Services development or experience with the Salesforce API (REST, SOAP, Metadata, XML, etc.)
· Experience in HTML, XML, JavaScript, and SQL
· Experience using Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE)
· Strong understanding of relational databases and has developed a competency around MS SQL Server, MYSQL, or Oracle
· Knowledge of integrations, third-party integration tools and ETL with Salesforce
· Experience working with technical and business stakeholders from global cross-functional teams.
